Sunsama review

What is Sunsama?

Sunsama is an all-in-one platform that helps you organize your day and ensure that you complete the most critical tasks. It features an intuitive design and helps you stay organized to get more stuff done daily. Sunsama integrates easily with many other productivity apps, including Todoist, Google Calendar, Notion, Asana, ClickUp, Gmail, Outlook, and Google Calendar.

Sunsama claims that it's more than a productivity software; it's a personal assistant that helps you manage your day. It aids you in prioritizing urgent and important tasks which might get lost in your busy schedule.

Why do we even need a daily planner?

We are all running at a breakneck speed, pretending to be productivity machines as we stuff our calendars and to-do lists with many tasks. Then reality smacks us in the face, and we're lost as to which activity to undertake first. We frequently overbook our schedules and create tasks we can't do on time. As a result, we often end the day feeling stressed and unaccomplished.

This is where the daily planner jumps in. Here are many benefits to using a daily planner, such as:

  • Increased productivity - When you take the time to plan out your day, you're more likely to accomplish your goals.
  • Decreased stress levels - By knowing what you need to do daily, you can avoid feeling overwhelmed by a large workload.
  • Improved focus - By focusing on important tasks, you'll be less distracted by unimportant things.
  • Better organization - A good daily planner will help you stay organized and avoid wasting time looking for misplaced items.

How Does Sunsama Work?

Sunsama is different from other productivity tools because it helps you to get into the habit of reviewing your progress every day and keeping your tasks organized. This way, you won't be forgetting important tasks and meetings.

Once you begin using Sunsama, an onboarding tutorial will guide you through the process of adding actionable daily tasks to your board via a kanban-style calendar view. Adding new tasks is easy; drop them into the designated space on your calendar.

Sunsama What Can Wait

In the process of creating actionable tasks, Sunsama will ask you to give an estimate of how much time will it take to complete the task. Also, it will ask you to prioritize urgent tasks so you can stay focused on your work.

Sunsama has realistic expectations of how many tasks you can handle which is important to efficiently plan your day and avoid burnout. By taking a few minutes each morning to make a daily plan, you can increase your productivity and maximize efficiency.

The workspace view is the primary interface you'll see inside of Sunsama each day. From this view, you can take all of the actions you might take during Daily Planning or Today View.

Main Features of Sunsama

Daily Planning

Sunsama allows you to plan your day by focusing on what is important. This will allow you to reflect on yesterday's progress and plan out today's work. You can also choose to have Sunsama automatically show once a day at the time you've specified.

Once you start planning your days, you'll begin to see an increase in productivity and a decrease in stress levels.

Daily Shutdown

The "Daily Shutdown" feature in Sunsama is a great way to end your day. It helps you reflect on your progress, share your reflections, and walk away from your workday feeling accomplished.

Taking a couple of minutes to write out what you did, what you learned, and where you struggled creates a sense of fulfillment.

Weekly Review

The "Weekly Review" is a great way to end your week. The weekly review ritual guides you through a reflection of how you are spending your time and whether you are meeting your objectives.

Timeboxing and auto schedule

Timeboxing is a way of organizing your time by blocking out time on your calendar to work on specific tasks. To timebox a task, drag and drop it onto the calendar view at a time where you want to work on it. You can also "auto-schedule" and Sunsama will auto-drop tasks on your calendar.
